INDICATIONS

This medication is indicated for the treatment of infections caused by susceptible organisms, including:

• Respiratory tract infections (sinusitis, pharyngitis, bronchitis, pneumonia).
• Otitis media.
• Skin and soft tissue infections.
• Sexually transmitted infections (caused by Chlamydia trachomatis and Neisseria gonorrhoeae).

DOSAGE

The recommended dosage is one 500 mg tablet taken once daily for three days.

CONTRAINDICATIONS AND WARNINGS

Do not use if you are hypersensitive to azithromycin or any macrolide antibiotics. Avoid simultaneous use with cisapride, phenothiazines, pimozide, and ranolazine. Not recommended for children under 6 months or under 6 kg in weight. Always consult your doctor before starting any new medication.
